The story of
House of Wool.
House of Wool has arisen from a mastery of wool and nearly a century of Flemish textile art. Heritage, natural material, craftsmanship and responsibility come together in rugs made to bring calm and authenticity to interiors.
( 01 ) Heritage
Rooted in Flemish textile art.
What began as a family tradition of weaving has evolved into a philosophy that unites heritage, craftsmanship and a deep respect for nature. For us, wool is more than a fibre: it is a living material, a gift from nature made tangible in warmth, softness and strength.
Every rug is woven with care and refinement, enriching interiors with calm, character and purity. Available in standard dimensions or tailored fully bespoke, each piece carries its own signature, shaped by both material and maker.
( 02 ) Wool as material
A living material, smart by nature.
Our wool comes from Merino sheep raised in New Zealand, renowned worldwide for producing some of the finest and softest wool available. Selected for softness, resilience and natural beauty, Merino wool forms the foundation of every House of Wool rug.
Soft and resilient
Fine fibres feel soft underfoot while naturally returning after compression.
Breathable comfort
Wool regulates moisture and helps create a naturally comfortable interior.
Natural performance
Wool is naturally stain resistant and naturally flame retardant.
Renewable fibre
A biodegradable natural fibre and a thoughtful alternative to synthetics.
( 03 ) Craft and quality
From skilled hands to lasting quality.
Our handwoven and handknotted rugs are crafted and hand finished by skilled artisans in ateliers where traditional craftsmanship has been passed down through generations. Every stage, from weaving or knotting to final detailing, is carried out with care and precision.

( 04 ) Creative direction
Where material, tactility and emotion meet.
( 05 ) Responsible craft
Mindful choices, carefully made.
At every stage of creation, House of Wool commits to being as ecological as possible. From the yarns to the way we weave, each rug is shaped by mindful choices, whether crafted entirely by hand or on looms powered by renewable energy.
